This is the first novella in the Soul Seers series. What a great way to start! You can also read this in Paranormal Anthology with a Twist. And boy is there a twist. This is definitely a fast read, you will not want to put it down. I love Ella and Jonah. And their eyes, wow, Ella has amethyst eyes and Jonah has emerald.

Ella is a college student, she's not your "normal" kind of girl though. She thought she was going crazy with all these voices in her head all the time. She learns the truth about the "voices" from her mother, after a tragic accident.

She had no clue that there are others like her and her mother. Until Jonah walks into her class and he "hears" her, just like she can hear him. They hit it off right away.

That ending though! This is my 2nd time reading this series and it still gets me. Thank God all the novellas are available in one box set now!

I absolutely adored this book and I wish I can by the second book, but I'm broke! I garentey that if you read this book you will feel the same way I do right now, super excited and unable to stay still.

Voices of the Soul by Rene Folsom took me completely, and pleasantly, by surprise. Don't let the size fool you, this novella packs a punch. It very quickly went from a sweet, paranormal love story to something entirely different. I cannot wait to see what Folsom has in store in book 2.
Wow. All I got to really say about this one is wow. Voices definitely surprised me. I was really impressed with how much Folsom fit into eighty-four pages.

I was intrigued by the story from the start. I knew going in that this being a short story, that was the beginning of a series there were going to be unanswered questions. But they only served to draw me farther into the story, not annoy me. I want to read more of the Soul Seers series to see how the author answers them.

I liked Ella. The story is told from her perspective. But I was able to learn enough about the other characters that I wanted to find out more about them as well. For a moment the insta-love/lust with Jonah did cause me to sigh. I'm not too keen on insta-love, but the way the author ended the story it all made sense and by the last page all was forgiven.

The ending....just oh my god. Did not see it coming. Yes, it's a cliffie. Yes, there are TONS of unanswered questions. But this is one of those endings that just makes you want to get to the next book as soon as possible. Not that easy a trick when you've only had a little over eighty pages to reel your reader in.

Voices is definitely getting 5 out of 5 stars from me. I've already put the box set of the series, which is books 1-6 on my wishlist and I can't wait to pick it up.

I got this book from because it was on sale and decided to review it for this event. All opinions in this fair and honest review are my own.
I liked this book but didn't love it. I was just starting to get to know the characters and the book ended. I wasn't super crazy about the twist at the end, but I DO look forward to seeing what the author might do with that twist. Although this book was kinda "meh" for me, I can see this series getting very interesting, so I will most likely look into the next book.
Wow! I was definitely not expecting the total turn of events in Voices o the Soul. Nor did I expect that cliffhanger. Is it real? Is Jonah real? If so, I am assuming Ella is more than clairvoyant.

Cannot wait to read book #2
Once again Rene has left me speechless! The ending was not like I expected it to be, which makes it an even better read! I don't like when you can predict the ending of a book and this one was definitely not predictable! Rene has a great way of writing in that you can picture everything you are reading, and even makes you think you know what will happen, and then leaves you completely surprised! I am going to start the next book now!
This is a novella by a fellow TWIST Anthology author, Rene Folsom. So, of course, I can't go too far into explaining the plot of this story without chancing a spoiler. So I'll keep this review simple.

The story begins with Orella "Ella" Hugh basically explaining her life thus far and how she can hear voices inside her head. When an accident takes her mother, she must learn to survive mostly on her own. Six years later, she meets a man named Jonah who shares her abilities. The two have an instant connection; a rapport that bonds them from the moment they locked eyes. Ella finds that Jonah might be her salvation...or is he?

This story is very steamy, delving into the mind of a rather repressed girl who's been hiding her true gift her whole life. When she meets someone who she can share her true thoughts with, things start to look up finally. But, of course, there's a major twist that sends Orella's perspective of her world into the ground.

Descriptive, witty, and definitely intriguing Voices Of The Soul by Rene Folsom is a definite read! The first in a long line of novella's that are worth to attention!
